THE Shoe and Sandal of the Season: Prada Spring 2014

Here's what THE one-and-only Suzy Menkes said of the Prada Spring 2014 collection:

"Interesting the dresses were: colorful and extraordinary, illuminated
not just by the bold faces printed digitally over the lower body of a
wool or fur coat, but also smothered in sequins, especially rhinestone
brassieres built in at the bosoms."

"With the vivid green, red, yellow and blue colors; the knee-high, sporty
leg warmers; and sometimes colored feathers in the hair, the effect was
tribal. But there was also an unexpected feeling of the 1980s and those
Vivienne Westwood external bras inspired by African women."

WHO WORE WHAT? 85th Annual Academy Awards: Kerry Washington in Miu Miu

Monday, February 25, 2013

Kerry Washington in Custom Miu Miu: Kerry's Miu Miu Gown was one of my favorites of the night. Mainly because of the beautiful coral color. While many actresses chose more muted hues or black, Kerry stood out amongst the crowd with this unexpected color.

The beaded top bustier section had a lovely vintage quality (that Miuccia Prada is known for) and the nude and gold beading set off against the bright colored skirt was beautiful.

She completed the look with a matching Fred Leighton clutch, delicate make-up and very subtle diamonds.

Good Job Kerry!
