I was so excited to find out that on this month's Vanidades Magazine--one of the most popular Spanish-language women's magazines, in the "Momentos Vanidades" section in the back--there was a whole section on the "Vanidades Presents Magia de la Moda (The Magic of Fashion)" fashion show that I--along with my design partner David Paul--took part in--showcasing our latest NIKOLAKI collection as part of Funkshion Miami Beach Fashion Week...

Last week, I flew to Miami, along with my NIKOLAKI Co-Designer David Paul, to show a 30+ collection at the Vanidades Presents "Magia de la Moda (The Magic of Fashion) 2013" Fashion Show as part of Miami Beach's Funkshion Fashion Week...

I was invited by Vanidades Magazine to show our NIKOLAKI designs at this fabulous event, along with Venezuelan fashion designer Nicolas Felizola, Vanidades Icon of Style 2013. David and I flew in from Los Angeles (I was actually in Las Vegas judging the "Battle of the Strands" 2013 Finals and flew into LAX to meet up with David to then fly to Miami).

Once in Miami, after checking in and getting a good night's rest, we looked at the GORGEOUS Miami Beach and breathed a sigh of "Nice Beach, we'd love to lay out but...we've got work to do!". The day prior to our fashion show, we had all-day fittings at the Funkshion Fashion Week headquarters:

 NIKOLAKI FABULOSO: Nick Verreos and David Paul of NIKOLAKI will present their collection at the "Vanidades Presents Magia de la Moda" at Funkshion Fashion Week Miami Beach 2013

I am so excited to announce that TONIGHT, David Paul and I will present our NIKOLAKI red carpet collection at the "Vanidades Presents Magia de la Moda (The Magic of Fashion)" Runway Event as part of the 25th Season of Funkshion Fashion Week Miami Beach!!

We flew to Miami two nights ago and yesterday, we spent the entire day doing our model fittings and now we are MUY excited--and ready--to showcase our collection for the very first time in this UBER sexy city! "Magia de la Moda" showcases top Latino designers and I'm very honored to have been invited to be part of this year's event. Also showing will be Venezuelan fashion designer Nicolas Felizola, who has dressed many a Venezuelan celebrity, including various former "Miss Venezuelas" and Venezuelan TV personalities.

...I kept the throngs of fans (and there were HUNDREDS!!) entertained as they waited to have autographs, plus I had THE BEST time doing it all! Here is my Blog Photo Recap--with LOTS of pics naturally! Oh, and in case you're wondering Thalia was not only GORGEOUS, Fabulous and looked DIVINE, she was also SUPER, SUPER Sweet! Que LINDISIMA! So, here we go...

Con Los Fans--Nick Verreos Arriving at Macy's Herald Square, 3rd Floor: There were fans waiting since 9 AM (the event began at 6 PM!) so they could get to meet their IDOL, Thalia and get an autograph. I met so many of the fans and they were all SO SWEET, and yes, very patient--and from many different Latin American nations including Mexico, El Salvador, Dominican Republic, Brazil and others.
