Pocket Scarf Brothers: L.A. Times staff writer on all things Menswear Adam Tschorn and Nick Verreos, Los Angeles Times Headquarters--2014 Academy Awards Red Carpet Fashion Google+ Hang Out On Air

This past Monday, after filming a LIVE TV segment for Azteca America (Spanish language TV Network) discussing my "Best Oscars Red Carpet" gown picks, I went to the Downtown L.A. offices of the L.A. Times to film a live Google+ Hang Out On Air with the wonderful Adam Tschorn, L.A. Times fashion writer.

We were also going to be joined LIVE from Paris by L.A. Times Fashion Writer chief fashion critic Booth Moore. Unfortunately, right as we were about to begin, there were connection/sound problems that prevented Booth from listening to us back in the Los Angeles newsroom.

Adam and I "made it work" and continued on to discuss the 2014 Academy Awards Red Carpet and our favorite and "could have been better" picks; he made sure--in Booth's absence--to say what her thoughts were on the couture on display at the Oscars. We also answered some great questions that came in via the Google+ Hang Out from viewers and talked about what the MEN of the Oscars Red Carpet were wearing. On that subject: a big highlight was when Adam brought out his Vivienne Westwood "Pharrell" hat:

Yes, I was happy to try on this now-infamous hat and naturally, the L.A. Times staff had to take a pic of it (OK, I admit: I told them to do so!!). Overall, I had a great time and the segment was so fun to do. To be honest, it went so quickly that both Adam and I felt that we could have talked for HOURS! In case you missed it...
