Hello Benefit: Nick Verreos at the Benefit Cosmetics Blogger/Media Apron Unveiling Event, Benefit Cosmetics Soho NYC Boutique

Last week, I had the privilege of flying to NYC to make a "Special Appearance" at the Benefit Cosmetics Soho NYC Boutique with Project Runway: Under The Gunn winning designer Oscar Garcia-Lopez to UNVEIL his apron design for Benefit Cosmetics. It was also a very special event for some of the top Beauty and Fashion Bloggers/YouTube stars to see the new apron and get to know what Benefit products we loved most (there are so much!).

Here's my Blog of the day with lots of pics:

Apron Unveiling: This Soho NYC event was a chance to unveil designer Oscar Lopez' apron design for Benefit Cosmetics. One of the prizes Oscar won as the Winner of Project Runway: Under The Gunn was to design and create an apron that was to be worn by the Benefit Cosmetics associates in the next month.

Oscar and his Benefit apron: Oscar created a fun and fabulous apron that was both whimsical and stylish--and perfect for the Benefit brand. The design featured a tuxedo ruffled top section with a collar and pink bow tie and an attached rose pink printed half-pleated "skirt" with pocket. Needless to say, both Oscar and I had to put one on:

Printed Nick: Tim Gunn and Nick Verreos on Episode 12 "Superhero Fashion" Project Runway: Under The Gunn

Time for my "Nick's Looks" STYLE BLOG of what I wore during this past episode of Lifetime's Project Runway: Under The Gunn. In case you missed my "Nick's Take"/Inside Dish blog, you can click HERE for that. This past episode was all about designing a look inspired by a Marvel Comics Superhero.

And yes, in case you might have forgotten Tim Gunn was featured in a special edition of Marvel Comics with "Iron Man" about five years ago back in 2009.

For the "Introduction" of the challenge at the Meltdown Comics and Collectibles store, I wore my light blue dress shirt from H & M, black skinny pants from Zara, a printed jacket by Topman, and a lace pocket hankie and black bow tie from my dad--yes, my dad. Vintage 1960's from his days as a US State Department Foreign Service Officer.

Benefit Traveler: While on a filming break, I ventured into the Benefit Cosmetics "Pretty Room" and found this pink suitcase and pink "Captain's sailor hat". Naturally, I had to pose and take a photo.

It was all too cheeky and screaming for me to make a photo-op out of it. If Benefit Cosmetics had an airline and they needed someone to play the Captain--or Flight Attendant--yep...it would be me!

Runway Day: Nick Verreos and Oscar Garcia-Lopez on Project Runway: Under The Gunn

For "Runway Day", I wore a bright blue velvet tuxedo jacket by Noose & Monkey, my skinny back trousers from Zara, white dress shirt from Topman, and printed silk pocket scarf from Etro. And my favorite black YSL Johnny Boots. Since this was the penultimate (pre-Finale) "Under The Gunn" Runway, I wanted to look nice for it--especially if I might be out. Who knows?

Nick and Marcus: I even got to take a photo with cutie Makeup artist Marcus who assisted in the "Benefit Cosmetics Pretty Room" with my blue velvet tuxedo jacket ensemble. Marcus was always so sweet and well, he could be my younger bearded brother--or sistah!

Hair Did:

Gregory Patterson and his Blopro hair team work this model's hair...she was Sam's model and eventually it was going to look like this:

SF Pretty Room: Nick Verreos at the Benefit Cosmetics San Francisco boutique

Arriving at SFO via Virgin America

Last week, I flew to San Francisco for business--on Virgin America (love them!) and had the opportunity to take in some of the fabulous SF "sights", including...

Taking a photo of an iconic San Francisco Cable Car--Powell and Market, San Francisco

During my time in SF, I had time to stop by the Benefit Cosmetics San Francisco Headquarters and SF Boutique to say "Hello"! As you may know, Benefit Cosmetics is the makeup sponsor for "Project Runway: Under The Gunn" and I just LOVE them (I cannot live without their POREfessional!)

Makeup Time: Once I arrived at the San Francisco HQ of Benefit Cosmetics, I got the VIP treatment--I got some (light) makeup done and discovered that I am not "Benefit Honey" but rather "Benefit Beige". Thank You Benefit Cosmetics! After the Makeup consultation, it was time for a Brow "fix"...

Nick Verreos and Peaches--After I got "clocked" (luckily) by a Benefit Cosmetics Makeup pro on what choice of makeup I should wear for TV, I got a special treat: I got my eyebrows "fixed" by the wonderful Peaches at the Benefit Cosmetics Boutique San Francisco. She did a fab job on my brows and I LOVE her for it!

Benefit San Francisco

After my "Pretty Time" at the Benefit Cosmetics Boutique San Francisco, I had the pleasure of ending my SF trip having some DELISH wine and charcuterie-and-cheese at Rouge et Blanc right next to the Triton Hotel SF:

Yum: Cheese and Charcuterie Plate at Rouge et Blanc, San Francisco

SF Chinatown: "Rouge et Blanc" Wine Bar is right in front of the entrance of San Francisco's Chinatown so I had to be a "tourist" and get a photo of the entrance gate---LOVE me some San Francisco!
